“Frustration” - Jayel Aheram
As part of my job, I am required to be with people 24 hours and 7 days a week. Every so often, I will get a few hours respite when I stand guard in a one-man post. But it is lonely out here amidst the crowd. Seeing the same people every fucking day, telling the same old stories the Nth time, seeing the same faces, the same personalities. I am not a machine that just chugs along as long as it is given fuel and oil. There is more to me, more to what I need than chow, water, and squared away gear.
